Anyone want some Cheetos?

We have had a busy few days touring the area around my place! The girls are in love with Bisbee, a town just up the road.

Julie and I on our morning walk.

Bisbee has over 1000 stairs! Here is Julie climbing some of them.

My walking group took me out for lunch! They are the sweetest group of ladies. I am so thankful to have met them!

We went over to Agua Prieta, Mexico to visit the candy store. Check out the size of these Cheeto bags... can we just say 'super size!'

Nogales, Mexico and Tubac, Arizona!

My mom, sister and friend Julie are visiting us for the next 2 weeks. Today we went shopping in Nogales, Mexico and then to Tubac, Arizona. They are about a 2 hour drive from us. We had a great day and found all kinds of treasures!

If you look closely, you can see the fence that divides Mexico from the USA!

Agra, Jaipur and Dehli

Me with the Taj Mahal

Elephants at the Amber Fort

Amber Fort

Lotus Temple in Delhi .... very beautiful

After our one week stay at the Girl Guide Center we did a bus tour of the "Golden Triangle of India." It was very interesting. We saw lots of elephants, camels and water buffalo! India was an amazing adventure and hopefully someday I will return.

Two of my favorite things were visiting the Taj Mahal and elephant riding up to the Amber Fort!

We have 1000's of photos however I am only posting a few! Once I move back to NB in late August I will begin the scrapbook!

Sangam, Girl Guide World Center

After 2 days in Mumai we headed to Pune, India to Sangam, the Girl Guide World Center. We joined women from the USA, the UK and Ontario for a week of friendship and fun!

Here we are in front of Sangam's gates. Inside the Girl Guide gates it was so beautiful and peaceful. Outside the gates was a different story!

Here we are dressed in our saris!! It was such a fun night! We look like Indian princesses!

Driving in a rickshaw was the only way to get around Pune! It was wilder than any amusement park ride!! We were most impressed with this pink rickshaw which we named the "Barbie rickshaw!"

Shopping was something we did a lot of! It was so cheap! Here I am shopping for bangles to go with my sari!

Mumbai, India

Marcia and I spent 2 great days in Mumbai, India. We started our stay with a boat ride over to Elephanta Island. This island has a cave temple with a massive Shiva sculpture. It was very hot and muggy... we were half asleep from the night flight so I was most impressed with the hundreds of monkeys and cows that were roaming the island!

Our second day in Mumbai was spent doing a city tour. We visited a Jain Temple, Ghandi Museum, the Prince of Wales Museum, and the Gateway to India to name a few!

We went by the Dhobi ghat, which is a public washing area. It was unbelievable. You can pay to have your laundry sent here where it is washed and the dirt is beat out it on a giant rock. It is then hung to dry and pressed!

Back from an amazing adventure!

I am back from my trip to India. It was an amazing adventure. I have so many stories and pictures to post!

We started our journey with 3 days in London ( my favorite city in the world.) We spent the first day just walking around revisiting a lot of the sites from our previous trip. We also stumbled upon the premiere of Shrek and were star struck by Justin Timberlake, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas and Mike Myers!

Our second day was spent at Hampton Court Palace, home of King Henry 8th followed by the musical "Wicked". One word.... SPECTACULAR!

Our third and final day in London was spent doing a lot of walking visiting the Diana Memorial in Hyde Park, the Science Museum and the Museum of Natural History.

More to follow soon.....
